Play all day, Rest all night, Go home happy!
Mandi was born and raised in the Clinton community and is a 2000 graduate of Clinton High School. In 2003, Mandi received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Central Missouri State University, currently known as the University of Central Missouri, in Warrensburg, Missouri.
Mandi grew up with pets her whole life. Her father, Kenney Jones, bred labs and she was given the opportunity to help care for them. From this, Mandi formed the desire to care for other animals. While growing up, Mandi was involved with the local 4-H and FFA. She was able to gain animal experience and leadership skills from these organizations.
She has educated herself and continues to get the best possible information to give quality care for the animals placed in her protection. Through Mandi's education - which included college courses with an emphasis in animal science - she met all pre-veterinary requirements.
She has also observed local veterinarians at their practices for over 300 hours through the Pet Care Services Association, which provides constant training and education on current available topics in the animal care industry.
Mandi also works diligently with the Clinton Animal Shelter by volunteering. She has previously been a board member, vice president, and president of the Clinton Animal Rescue Endeavor (CARE), a group that has a contract with the City of Clinton to take care of the shelter. She is also an active member of the PAWS club of Clinton.
Feel free to ask her about any questions that you may have about how you can help the dogs in our community that are in need.
